52 WEEKS - Our Grade 3 class has been very taken with a creative effort put forth by village locals Shawn Pigott and Kim Bannerman. Kim is the daughter of long-time teacher and historian Ron Bannerman and she is also a very published author. Shawn is her talented composer/musician husband. They have undertaken a project titled “52 Weeks” in which Shawn is producing a thought-provoking video each week. They are in Week 8 and so far and we Grade 3s are able to watch all of the videos! Our favourite one to date is Week 5 and we also really enjoyed Week 7! We love the 52 Weeks videos as they are filmed locally, Shawn’s music is beautiful and the themes encourage outside-the-box conversations.
